For one of our private banking clients, we are looking for an IT Operations Operator to join the IT Operations team.
The selected candidate will work in a 2x8 shift model (06:00–14:30 or 14:00–22:30) and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of IT production and monitoring activities.

The role requires strong operational rigor, the ability to work under pressure, and a high level of availability and reactivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control batch processing via scheduling tools

• Supervise production activities and ensure system availability

• Manage alarms and incidents, and dispatch them to the appropriate support teams

• Ensure Level 1 IT hotline support:

  • During night shifts

  • One week per month on Saturdays

• Follow operational procedures and escalate issues when required

• Work closely with internal IT teams to ensure service continuity

Profile & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Operations or a similar role

• Experience with scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M, OpCon, Tivoli or equivalent)

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Tivoli, Nimsoft, SCOM or equivalent)

• Basic knowledge of Unix and Windows environments

• Ability to work independently during night shifts

• Strong stress management skills

• High level of adaptability to new processes and technologies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Languages

• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken (mandatory)

Additional Information

• Shift work (2x8) including nights and occasional Saturdays

• Candidate must live within reasonable commuting distance of Geneva (less than one hour in heavy traffic)
